Tuscaloosa Police Seek Truck Driver Who Struck Moped
TPD says a man is lucky to be unharmed after a woman in a truck struck his moped as he parked along the rode in front of Phifer Wire.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying the driver of a green pickup truck who struck a parked moped alongside the road in front of Phifer Wire on Kauloosa Avenue over the week.

TPD said Tuesday that a woman was driving the truck westbound on Kauloosa Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, before she reportedly swerved across the eastbound lanes and collided with a 32-year-old man on his moped.

The man had stopped alongside the road in front of Phifer Wire and was able to jump out of the way in time. He was not injured.
TPD went on to say that the woman briefly exited the truck — a flatbed with tools on it or a utility bed with toolboxes built into it — but returned to the vehicle and left the scene. She was reportedly headed toward Highway 69 South before TPD officers arrived.

The driver was described as a woman with blonde hair and glasses. She was wearing a dark colored sweatshirt.
TPD also commented that there was a man in the passenger seat of the truck, but officers were unable to obtain a workable description.
