- Mayor Walt Maddox said Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue will be helping surrounding communities following severe storms on Thursday. TFR says Battalion 3, Technical Rescue Team 1, and Rescue 25 were sent to provide search and rescue assistance.

- Donny Jones, COO for the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama and executive director of West Alabama Works, has been appointed to serve on a national manufacturing panel that will advise President Joe Biden's administration on its “Made in All of America” initiative and related policies.

- Northport Mayor Bobby Herndon, known for his generosity toward others during times of crisis, said on Thursday he will be in touch with leaders from affected towns and cities and will provide an update Friday morning on how citizens of Northport can aid in the recovery effort.

- Here's a reminder that the Tuscaloosa Half Marathon is set for Saturday at Government Plaza, with a start time of 7 a.m.

- For the kiddos, Children's Hands-on Museum will host an Easter extravaganza from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

- Tuscaloosa Academy graduate Sarah Corbett Woods, who now lives in Nashville, was recently featured in a music video for the Sam Soto song "Eye Candy," which was shot in Santa Barbara, California. Watch it here.
