Wheelers — a three-piece band originally formed in Tuscaloosa at the University of Alabama — got its start as a popular cover band, performing their own interpretations of classics from the Grateful Dead, Black Sabbath, The Backseat Lovers and Hippo Campus.

The band would grow artistically, however, and move away from exclusively performing covers in favor of original tracks by releasing its debut single "Learning How To Walk" in October 2022.

Following the reception of the single, the band released the 5-track EP "Run for Shelter" on Jan. 20.

The band consists of lead singer and guitarist Graham Humphreys, Justin Ritondo lead guitar and vocals and Matt McDavid on bass.

The EP is available on most streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud and others.
