Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA), along with the Tuscaloosa Public Library officially unveiled the first StoryWalk in April, turning the Tuscaloosa River Walk into a walkable storybook, with podiums displaying laminated pages of a children's storybook that can be read as participants walk the path.

The effort is made possible by The University of Alabama's College of Human Environmental Sciences, along with PARA and TPL.
