Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra To Host 'Land of the Free' Concert
The event will be held on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Moody Concert Hall and will feature three of Bardonnay's visual concertos.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra (TSO) on Monday announced "Land of the Free," a concert honoring the veterans of West Alabama in collaboration with Los Angeles-based photographer and multimedia artist Nicholas Bardonnay of Westwater Arts.

The event will be held on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Moody Concert Hall and will feature three of Bardonnay's visual concertos: "No Man's Land," "Citizen Soldier," and the National Park Suite.

The National Park Suite featuring choreographed photography from the World Wars and National Parks set to American masterworks “Essay for Orchestra No. 1” by Samuel Barber and “Symphony No. 3” by Aaron Copland, along with excerpts from Antonín Dvořák’s “New World Symphony,” which was composed to celebrate the legacy of African-American Spirituals and Native American melodies.
