Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra Offers Chance To Conduct Song For Fourth Of July Celebration

The winner of the silent auction will be able to conduct a song during the 4th of July Celebration on the River concert.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra this week announced its one-item silent auction, which will provide participants the chance to conduct the TSO during a performance of "America the Beautiful" at the 4th of July Celebration on the River concert.

TSO says the silent auction will give the winning bidder the chance to conduct the symphony in front of a crowd of thousands, while also to supporting Tuscaloosa's arts community.

The funds raised from the silent auction will directly benefit the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra's efforts to bring musical and educational experiences to the region.

The auction is set to close on Friday, June 30.

"This silent auction presents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for music enthusiasts to step into the spotlight and make a lasting impact on our community," TSO Executive Director Natassia Perrine said. "We are delighted to offer this unique experience, celebrate our great nation and foster a deeper connection between our community and the power of symphonic music."

The silent auction is now open for bids, with those interested encouraged to click here to place their bids.

The only requirement is that winner must be able to attend TSO's rehearsal on Tuesday, July 4 from 12:15 p.m. - 1:p.m. at the Moody Music Building and arrive at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater by 7 p.m.

The concert begins at 8 p.m.
