Tuscaloosa Taking Applications For TTS, Parks & Rec Boards

The City of Tuscaloosa is currently looking to fill positions on two different advisory boards take with promoting tourism and area parks.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa announced this week it is accepting resumes for three positions on the Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports Commission and one position on the Parks and Recreation Board.

The TTS Commission is tasked with developing tourism through the promotion of permanent attractions, food and entertainment facilities, and special events that will bring tourist into the community.

Separately, the city's Parks and Recreation Board directs, supervises and promotes recreation programs that contribute to the general welfare of the residents of the county.

The city said each board position has a 3-year term, with members required to monthly meetings and live in Tuscaloosa County.

Applications will be accepted through Oct. 15.
