TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit on Tuesday arrested a man for sexual assaults against children.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the multiagency unit, told local media on Tuesday that Joshua Earl Crimm, 35, has been charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a child younger than 12 and first degree sodomy.

Crimm was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail following his arrest and his combined bond is set at $120,000.

Kennedy said investigators would not be releasing any additional details in order to protect the privacy of the victims.

Kennedy also reminded the community that due to the nature of the assaults and known proclivities of these types of offenders, investigators encourage anyone who may have been a victim or knows of any possible abuse to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at (205) 464-8690.
