Tuscaloosa Woman Killed In Friday Afternoon Wreck

Serrita Monte Turner, 37, was killed when the 2019 Nissan Versa she was driving was struck by a 2012 GMC Acadia driven by teenager.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Tuscaloosa woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon, according to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

ALEA Public Information Officer Senior Trooper Reginal King said the crash occurred occurred on Joe Mallisham Parkway, approximately two miles west of Tuscaloosa city limits, at approximately 12:50 p.m. Friday, March 19. King identified the deceased woman as Serrita Monte Turner, 37.

King said she was killed when the 2019 Nissan Versa she was driving was struck by a 2012 GMC Acadia driven by a Tuscaloosa teenager.

The teen and a passenger of the GMC were transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.

King said nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing.
