The win marked Pride's first PGA Tour Champions victory since the 2021 Mitsubishi Electric Classic, ending a drought of more than five years.

It also came in his 136th career start on the senior tour.

Sunday's victory came in Pride's sixth appearance at the DICK'S Open, improving on his previous best finish of fourth in 2023. He has competed in each of the tournament's last six editions.

Pride opened the tournament with a 9-under 63, tying the lowest first-round score in DICK'S Open history. The victory also marked the first time he converted a first-round lead or co-lead into a win on PGA TOUR Champions after previously falling short in three such opportunities.

The win vaulted Pride from No. 29 to No. 13 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings.

During his time at the University of Alabama, Pride earned All-Southeastern Conference honors as both a junior and senior.

He later won the 1994 Federal Express St. Jude Classic for his lone PGA Tour victory before joining PGA Tour Champions after turning 50.
