Tuscaloosa's Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day Set For June 4

The City of Tuscaloosa and Nucor Steel are set to once again partner for a Household Hazardous Waste Disposal day on Saturday, June 4.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa and Nucor Steel are set to once again partner for a Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day on Saturday, June 4 from 8 a.m. until noon.

Items can be dropped off at the Public Safety Logistics building, which is located at 3311 Reese Phifer Avenue.

Household hazardous waste includes: "discarded, unused or leftover portion of household products containing toxic chemicals."

The City of Tuscaloosa says items will be neutralized and recycled into new products or safely and properly disposed.

The event is free and will offer a contactless drive-thru to residents of Tuscaloosa County.
