Downtown Tuscaloosa's Newest Cocktail Bar Reveals Opening Date
Downtown Tuscaloosa's newest cocktail bar, Atomic, is set to officially open on Oct. 8 in the lower level of Dillard's Chophouse.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Downtown Tuscaloosa's newest cocktail bar, Atomic, is set to officially open on Oct. 8 in the lower level of Dillard's Chophouse.

The grand opening on Saturday will begin at 3 p.m.

"We want to give our customers a place to go before and after their reservations at Dillard's Chophouse where they can enjoy high-end cocktails in a fun environment,” Atomic and Dillard's Chophouse owner Andrew Dillard said. "We will also offer an appetizer menu and Atomic will continue to accommodate a variety of events."
The event space has a capacity of 230 people and features exposed brick walls, brown leather couches, and a customized pool table.

The new cocktail bar portion of the eatery also has plans to host live music, video game nights, and trivia.
Bar manager Colin McGhee designed the drink menu, with the cocktails categorized by their spirits.
Atomic's cocktail menu will feature traditional cocktails and a wide array of more modern cocktails, such as the Smoked Old Fashion — made with Old Forester Rye, Regans Orange Bitters, vanilla syrup and smoked with cherry wood chips.
Customers can also browse Atomic's selection of beer, wines, and appetizers.
Atomic is open Monday-Thursday 4 p.m. - 12 a.m., Friday-Saturday 5 p.m. - 2 am., and Sunday 4 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Atomic also mentioned that during football season, opening and closing times are subject to change.
Dillard's Chophouse is located at 2330 4th St, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.
