Tuscaloosa's One Place To Host Free Father's Day Event At Snow Hinton Park

Tuscaloosa's One Place aims to help the community celebrate Father's Day with its free Fathers in the Park on Saturday, June 10.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa’s One Place on Wednesday announced its will help the community celebrate Father's Day with its free Fathers in the Park on Saturday, June 10.

Fathers in the Park will be hosted at Snow Hinton Park from 9 a.m. until to 1 p.m., featuring a water slide bounce house, games, food, music and more.

“Spending quality time with your loved ones strengthens the bonds that matter most,” Changing Habits and Making Parents Stronger (CHAMPS) Director Roosevelt Jackson said. “Fathers in the Park welcomes all families and strives to strengthen parent engagement with their children.”

The CHAMPS program at Tuscaloosa's One Place is organizing the event, which is made possible through sponsorships from Whataburger and Tuscaloosa Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Inc.

Tuscaloosa's One Place says CHAMPS helps parents establish and strengthen positive parental interaction by providing education to improve parenting skills, relationship skills, and economic stability through workforce development and other employment services.

Tuscaloosa’s One Place is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating since 1999, which werves over 24,000 area residents each through parenting and healthy relationship education, after school and school social work programs, workforce development, and teen intervention programs.
