Investigators are on the scene of a Thursday night shooting in Tuscaloosa that injured two people at University Downs apartments.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department and Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit are on the scene of a shooting at University Downs apartments that left two people injured.

TPD confirms that the initial call of the shooting was received at 7:32 p.m. Thursday evening and both victims were transported to DCH Regional Medical Center.

Captain Marty Sellers of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit said the two male individuals shot suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening. He also described the scene as "spread out."
