UA Alumni Association Considering Golden Triangle Chapter
The University of Alabama National Alumni Association is in the process of considering a new alumni chapter in Mississippi.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The University of Alabama National Alumni Association is in the process of considering a new alumni chapter in Mississippi.

The alumni association said on Monday that it is in the process of determining interest and planning an organizational meeting for the Golden Triangle area — a metropolitan area of roughly 130,000 residents that consists of Columbus, Starkville and West Point.

The alumni association also explained that each chapter serves as a grassroots volunteer organization and sponsors meetings and events to highlight the university, recruit local students and help raise money to assist students.
At present, UA has more than 100 alumni chapters across the country.
