UA Alumni Association Fall Kick-Off Event Set For Aug. 17
The Tuscaloosa County Chapter of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association is set to host its annual Fall Kick-Off Event.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Chapter of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association is set to host its annual Fall Kick-Off Event on Thursday, Aug. 17.

The event will be from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the SkyGate Club of the WestGate Luxury Condominiums.

Alabama Director of Athletics Greg Byrne will be the keynote speaker.
“We are excited to offer our alumni and fans a unique opportunity to see Bryant-Denny
Stadium from one of the best locations in town,” Tuscaloosa County Chapter President Barkley Garrett said. “Our rich history and strong traditions are like no other and the energy and
enthusiasm of our alumni and fans is unmatched. If you are an alum, parent, or fan, this is where
you need to be. This is a great way for our local alumni and fans to get ready for the upcoming
season.”

The family friendly event will feature a pep rally, door prizes, and other guest speakers.
Tickets for event entrance and dinner are $35, with tickets for children ages 4 – 10 are priced at $15 and ages 3 and under are free. Alumni chapter membership is not required for those wishing to attend.
Additionally, a limited number of VIP tickets are available for $55 for adults, $35 for
children ages 4 – 10, and $15 for ages 3 and under.
VIP tickets will include a tour of Bryant-Denny Stadium prior to the Kick-Off Event, with the tour starting at 4:15 p.m.
Autographed sports memorabilia and other silent auction items will be available — the proceeds from which will go to the Tuscaloosa County Scholarship Fund.
This allows the organization to give scholarships. For instance, in 2023, the chapter awarded over $150,000 in scholarships to students from high schools in Tuscaloosa County.
