United Way Of West Alabama's 2022 Campaign Raises $4.4M
The funds raised during the 2022 campaign will benefit 30 nonprofits partnered with UWWA.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — United Way of West Alabama announced during the Alabama men's basketball's game against Jackson State Tuesday night that its annual fundraising campaign garnered $4.4 million.

The funds raised will benefit 30 nonprofits partnered with UWWA.

In its announcement, UWWA also had high praise for campaign chair and Tuscaloosa restauranteur Jheovanny Gomez, who was tasked with leading the effort.
Gomez expressed his gratitude following the successful campaign and said he was thankful for the opportunity to give back to the community he loves.

"I happened to land in the best community in the world and United Way of West Alabama is one of the best ways to serve it," he told Patch. "We couldn’t have reached and exceeded our goal without the help of my cabinet, board, staff and our business community."
