"He was renowned for his honesty, integrity, character, and courage, and his leadership and friendship will be greatly missed," UWA President Ken Tucker said. "We would not have been able to accomplish the things we have at UWA without Terry's visionary leadership and generous financial support."
A longtime supporter of the UWA Foundation and UWA's National Alumni Association, Bunn was presented the NAA's Alumni Loyalty Award and also placed in UWA's prestigious Society of the Golden Key.
"We are so excited to honor Terry and the Bunn family with this gesture," UWA Director of Athletics Kent Partridge said. "This represents our deep gratitude and celebrates the lasting legacy of everything Terry did while he was still with us, as well as his family's continual commitment and love for the University of West Alabama."
Kickoff for UWA's Homecoming is set for 4 p.m.
