Vance Woman Killed In Crash On Highway 216 Wednesday
ALEA is investigating a multi-vehicle crash that occurred yesterday afternoon on Alabama Highway 216 and claimed the life of a Vance woman.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating a multi-vehicle crash that occurred yesterday afternoon on Alabama Highway 216 and claimed the life of a Vance woman.

ALEA says the fatal collision occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m. Wednesday when a 2015 Chrysler 200 was struck by a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a man from Lakeview. After the initial impact, the Chevrolet then struck a 2014 Chrysler 300 driven by a Brookwood woman.

ALEA went on to say that Joy H. Green, 66, was a passenger in the first Chrysler hit and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chrysler 200, a 16-year-old juvenile, was also transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
The crash occurred approximately one mile west of Woodstock in Tuscaloosa County.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
