Photos from the scene show a dark-colored SUV that appeared to have driven through the front of the business, located at 19039 U.S. Highway 43 North, collapsing part of the exterior wall and entryway.

The business said it would remain open on a limited basis, offering a “crash sale” on cakes through its drive-thru only.

Coffee service was not available as of Monday.

In a separate post, the owner expressed gratitude that no one was seriously injured, noting the crash could have been far worse.

“Thankful my wife was in the back,” the post read. “Thankful the driver and her baby are ok. Thankful it wasn’t 10 minutes later and a lobby full of moms and students after school.”

The extent of the structural damage and a timeline for full reopening of the business is unclear at this time.
