The Venue To Host 2023 Bama-Q Grilling In T-Town

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Visit Tuscaloosa is reminding barbecue lovers that the 2023 Bama-Q Grilling in T-Town will be held Friday and Saturday at The Venue.

Festivities are set to begin at noon and a VIP dining experiences are available.

Additionally, Saturday’s competition will be preceded by a Mixing It Up drink competition Friday at 6 p.m., with live music scheduled for both days.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Legit on Friday, while Brad Sellers Band will take the stage Saturday. Both performances will begin at 6 p.m.

The Second Annual Grilling in T-Town represents the official Bama-Q TV Steak Competition, which is sanctioned by the Steak Cookoff Association (SCA).

Visit Tuscaloosa says judging for the competition will be completely blind.

The event is free to the public, with a sampling tent with marinade inspired items, tailgate inspired items and steaks by nationally acclaimed competition grillers.

Visit Tuscaloosa says the VIP Steak Experience is available with the purchase of a $50 ticket.

VIP tickets will included a made-to-order steak from The Venue’s executive chef, a potato bar, salad and a newly launched energy drink, Legend.

What's more, VIPs will also be able to enjoy steak samples from the competition, a private seating area, access to a private cash bar and one ticket to a raffle for a Hasty Bake Charcoal Grill.
