Victim Identified After Fatal Crash Saturday On Jack Warner Parkway
The Tuscaloosa Police Department has identified a 29-year-old man killed in a single-vehicle crash on Jack Warner Parkway early Saturday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department has identified a 29-year-old man killed in a single-vehicle crash on Jack Warner Parkway early Saturday morning.

While the cause of the crash is still under investigation, TPD’s Accident Reconstruction Unit says a passing motorist called 911 just after 2 a.m. Saturday to report a 2006 Buick Lucerne that had struck a pole and caught fire at the intersection of Jack Warner and Randall Way.

TPD officers arrived at the scene, where the driver — identified as Michael Aaron Lax — was pronounced dead.
Lax's family in Virginia was notified of his death following his identification.
