Victim Identified In Hay Court Shooting, No Suspects In Custody
Here's the latest following a fatal shooting in Tuscaloosa's West End Tuesday afternoon.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Investigators have identified a 28-year-old Tuscaloosa man killed in a shooting Tuesday afternoon at Hay Court Apartments in the city's West End.

Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Commander Jack Kennedy said the call of the shooting came in to the Tuscaloosa Police Department at approximately 12:45 p.m., with Trevoris Sheppard found in critical condition after being shot.

Kennedy said Sheppard died shortly after being transported to DCH Regional Medical Center.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting and Kennedy said the investigation remains active.

Sheppard's death marks the second shooting death in the city's West End since Friday, following the murder of 13-year-old Kei'lan Allen at his home on Washington Square. It also represents the first in two fatal shootings for Tuscaloosa County on Tuesday, after a 16-year-old girl was killed and another man injured in a shooting at the Wendy's in Northport off of McFarland Boulevard.
