TUSCALOOSA, AL — Football season might be in full swing in Tuscaloosa, but college basketball is right around the corner as the 2022-23 Alabama men's basketball season began Monday morning with the first official team practice.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats said the team practiced for approximately two-and-a-half hours as the team gears up for its home opener on Nov. 7 against Longwood.

Entering his fourth season as head coach of the Crimson Tide, Oats hopes to see the team improve from its 19-14 mark during the 2021-22 season that saw Alabama finish tied for fifth in the SEC.
