WATCH: Tide Coach Nick Saban Gives Updates On JoJo Earle Injury

Crimson Tide head football coach Nick Saban updated the media on Wednesday following an injury to one of the team's up-and-coming stars.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — It's less than a month until the Crimson Tide will kick off the 2022 college football season at home against Utah State ... a game that will now likely see defending Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young take the field without one of his most exciting targets following an injury to sophomore wide receiver JoJo Earle.

Head coach Nick Saban said in a press conference on Wednesday that Earle suffered a "Jones Fracture" in his foot, which will likely sideline the highly-touted pass-catcher for the next six to eight weeks.

The native of Aledo, Texas was a Freshman All-SEC selection as a return specialist last season, grabbing 12 catches for 148 yards despite limited reps in a season truncated by a leg injury suffered against New Mexico State that kept him out until the College Football Playoff semifinal game against Cincinnati.
