Chamber Of Commerce Of West Alabama Presents Annual Awards To Volunteers, Members
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama on Thursday held its 121st annual celebration at the Bryant Conference Center.

TUSCALOOSA, AL – The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama on Thursday recognized its top volunteers and most dedicated members during its 121st annual celebration at the Bryant Conference Center.

The ceremony saw Michele Coley of the Allstate Coley Agency named Charles H. Land Member of the Year — the highest honor presented to an individual Chamber member. Coley serves on the Chamber’s Board of Directors and has been named the 2023 board chair.

Chamber President and CEO Jim Page said Coley is fully dedicated to serving the West Alabama community, and the Chamber is fortunate to have her on its team.
“The work she has done to bring new energy to the Diverse Business Council and Women’s Leadership Alliance is truly making a difference," he said. "Her passion for the community is unmatched and she will continue to be an asset to West Alabama.”

Terry Saban was named as the recipient of The Chairman’s Leadership Award, for her commitment to initiatives such as Habitat for Humanity, the Nick’s Kids Foundation and, most recently, her partnership with the City of Tuscaloosa to develop the Saban Center.

- The Robert C. Tanner Corporate Service Award: DCH Health System
- Ambassador of the Year Award: Whitni Molden of Hotel Capstone.
- The Diverse Business Council Trailblazer Award: Cassius Lanier, owner of Lanier Automotive and the District 7 representative on the Tuscaloosa City Council.
- Non-Profit of the Year Award: Whatley Health Services.
- Distinguished Service Awards: Kim Ingram of Hayes Ingram, LLC and Dr. Billy Kirkpatrick of Five Horizons Health Services.
- The H. Pettus Randall Entrepreneurial Rising Star Award: Rebecca Patterson and Taylor Pearce of Gourmade Kitchen.
- The H. Pettus Randall Entrepreneur of the Year Award: Inge Beeker of Beeker Property Group.
