West Alabama Education Summit Set For Sept. 19

The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama on Tuesday announced that its 2023 West Alabama Education Summit will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama on Tuesday announced that its 2023 West Alabama Education Summit will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

The annual breakfast event will be from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at The University of Alabama’s Bryant Conference Center and will include a panel discussion.

The event will also include a presentation geared toward providing attendees with a comprehensive update on both the Tuscaloosa County School System and Tuscaloosa City Schools.

The Chamber says the panel discussion will be moderated by Michele Coley of Allstate Coley Agency.

The panel will consist of Tuscaloosa City Schools Superintendent Mike Daria; Tuscaloosa County Schools Superintendent Keri C. Johnson and Donny Jones, executive vice president and chief workforce officer of the Chamber and Executive Director of West AlabamaWorks.

Registration is priced at $40 for Chamber members and $45 for non-members.
