West Alabama Job Seekers Invited To Hiring Event In Fayette

FAYETTE, AL — Job seekers in Fayette County and surrounding communities will have the opportunity to connect with several employers during a hiring event hosted by West Alabama Works later this week.

The free event is scheduled for Thursday, July 30, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Fayette Civic Center, located at 534 Temple Ave. N. in Fayette.

Representatives from six employers and service providers are expected to attend, including Foster Farms, DCH Health System, Phifer, Interfor, Ox Bodies, the City of Fayette and the Federal Correctional Institution in Aliceville.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with recruiters, learn about available job openings and participate in on-site interviews.

"Our community hiring events play a pivotal role in connecting residents in our rural counties with meaningful employment opportunities," Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama Chief Workforce Officer and West Alabama Works Executive Director Donny Jones said in a statement. "We encourage anyone looking to re-enter the workforce or explore a new career path to attend and take advantage of this opportunity."

The hiring event is free to attend.
