TUSCALOOSA, AL — A West Blocton man is dead and one other person injured following a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning near Woodstock.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the crash occurred at approximately 5:40 a.m. Saturday when the 2006 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Gerald W. McRee, 60, of West Blocton, was was struck by a 2013 Toyota Tacoma driven by a man from McCalla.

ALEA says McRee was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other motorist was injured and transported to Bibb Medical Center in Centreville for treatment.

The crash occurred five miles south of Woodstock on Alabama Highway 5 in Bibb County.
