Woman Charged With Assault After Tuscaloosa Gas Station Shooting
A 48-year-old woman has been charged with first degree assault after being accused of shooting another woman during an argument.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit on Tuesday announced the arrest of a woman accused of shooting another woman in the leg during an argument at a Tuscaloosa gas station on Friday, July 29.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the multiagency unit, said Sirlena Harris, 48, was charged with first degree assault the day of the shooting and was released from the Tuscaloosa County Jail after her bond was set at $15,000.

As Patch previously reported, the call was received around 6:15 a.m. at the Chevron gas station at the corner of 15th Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
The one female victim injured in the shooting was transported to an area hospital for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
