TUSCALOOSA, AL — A woman has been charged following a dispute involving multiple people at the University Mall's Applebee's restaurant Monday that involved the use of pepper spray.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department confirmed to Patch that the pepper spray was used both inside the restaurant and in the parking lot.

Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene after the incident and TPD said the altercation involved several individuals.
Police have not released details regarding injuries, but paramedics were called to evaluate those affected by the spray.

The incident remains under investigation.
TPD then said 35-year-old Cinnamon Bogan was arrested in connection with the disturbance.
She was charged with felony use of pepper spray, resisting arrest, public intoxication and harassment.
