Woman In Custody After Man Shot In Coaling

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit says a woman has been taken into custody after a man was injured in a shooting Monday.

COALING, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit has taken a woman into custody after a man was shot Monday on Dudley Road in Coaling.

Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the multi-agency unit, told local media just before noon that the victim was shot one time and is in stable condition.

He went on to say a woman has been taken into custody and the investigation remains ongoing.

The Coaling Police Department initially responded to the shooting call, before turning over the investigation to the Violent Crimes Unit.
