Woman Dead After Reportedly Jumping From Paul Bryant Bridge
The Tuscaloosa Police Department confirms that a woman is dead after jumping from the Paul Bryant Bridge on Alabama 297 Friday.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department confirms that a woman is dead after reportedly falling approximately 150 feet from the Paul Bryant Bridge along Alabama State Route 297 Friday evening.

TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor told local media that two drivers called at 5:47 p.m. to report a person standing by the rail of northbound lanes. The woman then jumped from the bridge before officers arrived on scene.

Taylor then said officers were able to locate the woman's body on the access road below the bridge.
The woman's identity has not been released as of the publication of this story and the case has been handed over to the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit.
