TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Y Men’s Club recently presented a $15,000 donation to the YMCA of Tuscaloosa to support scholarships, with a special emphasis on children with autism.

The funds were raised through the club’s annual Christmas Tree Sale, held each year in the former Bowlero parking lot on McFarland Boulevard.

The long-running fundraiser benefits the local YMCA and helps ensure access to programs for underprivileged youth in the community.

Dan Tidwell, current president of the Y’s Men’s Club, and past president Jimmy Duren joined YMCA CEO Jeff Knox for the check presentation.

Proceeds from the Christmas Tree Sale are also used to provide financial assistance for families who may not otherwise be able to afford YMCA programs and services.
