Yea Alabama To Host Kickoff Dinner And Auction On Aug. 23

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The University of Alabama's Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) collective, Yea Alabama, is set to host its season kickoff dinner and auction later this month.

Yea Alabama says the event is something Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer did in Washington as a way for fans to have more access to the players and coaches and, primarily, as a way to raise money for the program.

The goal for Yea Alabama is to raise half a million dollars for UA’s NIL fund.

The Raise the Flag event is scheduled for Aug. 23 and 5 p.m. at the Hank Crisp Indoor Practice Facility.

DeBoer will be the keynote speaker, with Chris Stewart serving as emcee. The attendance will be capped at 500.

The Bright Star Restaurant, the Bessemer eatery known as Bear Bryant’s favorite restaurant will cater the dinner.

Yea Alabama says title and legacy sponsors will have the opportunity to attend a VIP reception in the football team’s weight room.
