YMCA Men's Club Preps For Annual Christmas Tree Sale

All of the proceeds from the annual Christmas tree sale will go toward funding the Tuscaloosa YMCA and its myriad programs.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The holidays are just around the corner and the Tuscaloosa YMCA Men's Club is set once again to host its annual Christmas tree sale.

Online purchases are also available, allowing customers to secure their trees well in advance of any rush. The YMCA Men's Club will also offer free delivery for customers within a 15-mile radius, regardless of if the purchase is online or made at the tree lot that will be located at Bowlero Bowling Center on McFarland Boulevard.

Tree Sale Chairman Ted Sexton said the 7-12 foot Frazier and Nobel Firs, and Balsam trees will be harvested and shipped from North Carolina’s Cold Water Rain Forrest directly to Tuscaloosa.

“Last year’s trees were of excellent quality," he said. "This year we expect the overall demand to be higher with a somewhat limited supply… so shop early!"

He then said Christmas trees taller than 12 feet are available by special order by calling (205) 454-8762.

Proceeds from the sale will support the Tuscaloosa YMCA and fund programs such as youth sports, senior fitness programs, and Day Camp scholarships.

Here's a look at the special schedule for the first week of the tree sale:

Tuesday, Nov. 23 (1 p.m. — 9 p.m.)
Wednesday, Nov. 24 (1 p.m. — 9 p.m.)
Thursday, Thanksgiving—closed
Friday, Nov. 26 (9 a.m. — 9 p.m.)
Saturday, Nov. 27 (9 a.m. — 9 p.m.)

The following weeks will be Sunday-Friday 1 p.m until 9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
