Another Summit Restaurant Closes

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A longstanding restaurant at The Summit shopping center has closed. Romano's Macaroni Grill closed Monday, and all signage on the building has been removed.

"The company regularly reviews its portfolio of restaurants as a normal course of business and made the tough decision to close this location," a company spokesperson told the Birmingham Business Journal. "Macaroni Grill appreciates its team members’ hard work through the years and enjoyed being a part of the Birmingham community. We thank all of our loyal guests for their patronage through the years."

The Summit restaurant was Roman's Macaroni Grill's only Alabama location.

This closing is one of several in the shopping center in the past year, including eateries Johnny Rockets and Zoe's.
