Cahaba Heights Store Up For National Small Business Award

The Lili Pad has been named a quarterfinalist for the Independent Small Business of the Year award by Independent We Stand.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - The national small business movement, Independent We Stand, announced The Lili Pad of Cahaba Heights is a quarterfinalists, of the eighth annual Independent We Stand Independent Small Business of the Year or “Indie Award.” This announcement precedes Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24, encouraging holiday shoppers to support small businesses.

The Lili Pad, a children’s clothing boutique owned by sisters Susan Day and Katherine McRee, offers clothing and gifts for infants, toddlers and children, and is located in the Heights Village. The store has been in business since 2004, and a staple in the business community in Cahaba Heights.

“This year’s quarterfinalists represent the nation's favorite independent businesses who go above and beyond to support their local economies,” said Bill Brunelle, co-founder of Independent We Stand. “This award is our way of honoring the hard work they do every day to contribute to their communities.”

Voting is now underway at www.IndieBizAward.com through Dec. 16. Voters may visit the website to place up to three votes each day from the same IP address.

The 2018 Indie winner, announced Dec. 19, will receive prizes with a combined value of more than $25,000, including:
