Four Vestavia Hills High School Athletes Will Play College Sports

Student-athletes from Vestavia Hills High School announced they will play college sports next season.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - The sports history at Vestavia Hills High School is rich with state championships, legendary coaches, All-State athletes and students who have gone on to play sports on the collegiate and professional level. When the 2018 school year begins, four Rebels will continue their athletic pursuits in college.

Rebels soccer standout Collin Armstrong announced he will play at the United States Naval Academy next season. Also, VHHS soccer player Ford Hunt announced he will play soccer for the University of Memphis next season. Armstong transferred to VHHS this year and just started practicing with the team and Hunt transferred last year. The Rebels begin the soccer season this week.

Not to be outdone by the boys soccer stars, Rebels soccer standout Faith Hauberg announced she will play next season at Furman University. Hauberg, a midfielder, scored four goals last season for the Rebels.

Vestavia student Jack Dunphy announced he will play football at Middle Tennessee State next season. Dunphy is a long snapper and was one of the highest rated players in the state at that position.
