Garbage Truck Crashes Into Vestavia Home

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — A home in Vestavia Hills Friday received an unexpected visitor of sorts. A garbage sped down a hill and crashed into the home, located on Rockbridge Road.

An ABC 33/40 report said the truck lost control on a steep hill before it crashed into the house. First responders said a woman was home when the truck collided with the house, but was not injured.

The resident said she was in bed when the crash happened.
