National Drug Take-Back Day Set For April 27
On Saturday, April 27, VHPD will once again be participating in the DEA's RX Take Back initiative.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - This Saturday, April 27, Vestavia Hills residents are reminded to clean out their medicine cabinets of unused and leftover prescriptions. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Vestavia Hills Police Department will once again participate in the DEA's Rx Take Back initiative.
Officers will be at both VHPD precincts (Montgomery Hwy. and Cahaba Heights) to assist. The VHPD will accept all prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
The last Take-Back Day brought in more than 900,000 pounds of unused or expired prescription medication nationally. This brings the total amount of prescription drugs collected by DEA since the fall of 2010 to 10,878,950 pounds.
