New Cyber-Bullying Policy Adopted By Vestavia Schools

Vestavia Hills City Schools has expanded its bullying policy to include cyber-bullying.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — With incidents of cyber-bullying across the country getting seemingly more prevalent, Vestavia Hills City Schools expanded its bullying policy to address the issue, according to a Vestavia Voice report.

The policy change, which was mandated by the state, addresses bullying that occurs off school grounds, including actions on social media and through messaging, "if it interferes with the orderly operation of the school, or creates a hostile environment for the victim."
