New Specialty Shop Opening In The Summit

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Summit shopping center has seen a significant amount of change over the last year - with businesses closing and new ones opening, the lineup of businesses in the shopping center has been hard to track.

Another new store is set to open soon in the shopping center, according to a report by the Birmingham Business Journal. Paddywax Candle Bar is opening in late November in 1,600 square feet at 216 Summit Blvd., Suite 105.

The store will employ 10 people, according to the report, and will focus on both sales and sustainability.

"With its close proximity to our home base of Nashville, and the recent growth in the area, Birmingham poses as a natural expansion for Paddywax Candle Bar," said Paddywax spokesperson Emilie Harvey. "We're thrilled to become a part of The Summit family and to bring our creative business to an area already booming with great restaurants, shopping and style."

Paddywax Candle Bar currently has locations in Nashville, Charlotte, Dallas, Austin, Boston, Philadelphia, Madison, Wisconsin; and Reston, Virginia.
