Pizza Chain Closes Summit Location

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A pizza restaurant chain that has operated a location at The Summit for the last six years has closed permanently. A Birmingham Business Journal report said California-based chain Pieology closed the location at the end of January.

The chain still has Alabama locations in Huntsville and Montgomery.

The closure comes on the heels of multiple announcements in the last year of new restaurants and retailers opening at the summit, including salad restaurant chain Chopt and Texas-based apparel retailer Tecovas.
