ORLANDO, FL — Vestavia Hills High School can add another championship trophy to its already stacked shelf after the school dance team, the Rebelettes, captured the national championship in Orlando over the weekend.

The first two days of the competition saw a strong team performance by Vestavia on Saturday, which gave the Rebelettes a berth in the finals.

Sunday’s team dance national championship finals included high schools from California, New York, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Alabama. Vestavia's head coach, Faith Lenhart, said the squad's dedication to push each other to be their best was behind their success. "The girls worked extremely hard and believed in themselves and in being the team that could make history for the school," Lenhart said.
