VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — A longtime member of the Crestwood business community will now become part of the Vestavia Hills community. Romeo's Sporting Goods, located in Crestwood for nearly four decades, is moving to a new location in Vestavia, according to the Birmingham Business Journal.
Opened 37 years ago in the Crestwood Shopping Center, Romeo's has been a staple in the Crestwood business community, but the Birmingham Business Journal report says the store closed Nov. 16 and will re-open Dec. 7 in its new location at 1425 Montgomery Highway, Suite 141.
Mary Romeo Young, the store's owner, cited rent increases and changes to the Crestwood Shopping Center as some of her reasons for moving the store.
