Vestavia Country Club Golf Course Named One Of Nation's Best
Golf Digest named Vestavia Country Club's newly-redesigned course as the fourth-best new private course in the country.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - Alabama is home is home to 245 golf courses, many of which are considered some of the best in the country. A recent list of the nation's best courses included a local course among its top 5.
Golf Digest published its list of the country's best new golf courses, and Vestavia Country Club's redesigned course came in at No. 4 on the prestigious list.
The Best New Courses list is determined by evaluations from a national panel of experts - nearly 1,500 low-handicap male and female golfers who played candidate courses during the past 12 months and evaluated them on seven criteria: Shot Values, Design Variety, Resistance to Scoring, Memorability, Aesthetics, Conditioning and Ambience.

The Lester George-designed course at VCC opened in the summer of 2018 after a 17-month redesign, and was the only renovation project in the country to qualify.
