Vestavia Hit And Run: Security Footage Released
The VHPD released security footage of a suspect they say fled the scene of a traffic accident near Cahaba Heights.
VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The Vestavia Hills Police Department has obtained security camera footage of a suspect they say left the seen of an accident near Cahaba Heights last week. The VHPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying the suspect.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Acton Road and Caldwell Mill Road between 6:50 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. September 3.
Police said the suspect vehicle - a black, newer model, Ford Fusion - turned right from Acton Road onto Caldwell Mill Road and struck the victim's vehicle., a red Subaru Legacy. After the accident, the suspect reportedly pulled her vehicle behind Cahaba Heights Church of Christ before leaving the area on Caldwell Mill Road

The suspect vehicle was described as having front end damage and fluids leaking. The vehicle was reported to have been driven by a young white female.
