Sunday night, Hoover police stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle. A gun was seen in between the front passenger seat and the driver seat, and Hoover police detained the driver and called the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff’s detectives questioned the suspect, 18-year-old Micah Davis of Vestavia, about his involvement in the robbery. He admitted to committing the robbery. Davis told detectives that he committed the robbery because he owed someone $2,000 for a drug debt. Davis was arrested for Robbery 1st Degree and taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he was held on $10,000 bond.

“This is exactly the kind of crime fighting cooperation and success we envisioned when we launched the Metro Area Crime Center," said Jefferson County Sheriff Mike Hale. "Working together we have the ability to solve crime much faster and more effectively. That’s just one component. We also have the ability to interrupt and deter. Intel led law enforcement is a powerful tool that allows every participating agency instant access to valuable information and analytics and all of our area will be safer because of it.”
