Vestavia Police Holding Rx Take-Back Day April 28
The Vestavia Hills Police Department will take part in a prescription drug take-back day April 28.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - People who have expired and unused prescription drugs still in their medicine cabinets can safely dispose of those April 28 at both Vestavia Hills Police Department locations.
The DEA Rx Take Back Day is an effort to make homes and communities safer in a variety of ways. One, it prevents substance abusers and criminals from getting their hands on opiods and other commonly-abused drugs, and it helps keep homes safe from expired and therefore dangerous meds that could get into the hands of children.
Both the Cahaba Heights Precinct of the VHPD and Montgomery Highway location will accept these meds from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Officers will be available to assist at either location.
